Today marked a significant moment at the School of Computing and Engineering of the NIBM as the institution successfully inaugurated its BSc degree programmes in computing. The ceremony witnessed the participation of key dignitaries, the distinguished Director General of NIBM; Dr. D.M.A. Kulasooriya, the esteemed Chief Guest; Mr Hareen Stembo; the Chief Information Officer at HSB Sri Lanka and Maldives, the esteemed Director of the School of Computing and Engineering; Mrs. Gangani Wickramasinghe, the course directors, the faculty members, the parents, and the students.

The event was a resounding success, commencing a new era of educational excellence through the implementation of outcome-based learning. The distinguished keynote speakers, Dr. D.M.A. Kulasooriya and Mr Hareen Stembo graced the ceremony by sharing their inspirational insights to broaden the horizon of the students, namely, the next generation of IT professionals about the skills and knowledge they need to acquire to succeed in the ever-evolving digital era.

The success of the event reestablishes the commitment of the School of Computing of the NIBM to provide world-class education in the discipline of Computing and it looks forward to encouraging the development of an aspiring generation of IT professionals.
