NIBM School of Business is now all set to commence its first Advanced Diploma in Event Management and Experiential Design program. To make this a milestone and to create awareness among potential students School of Business has organized a colourful launching ceremony in a successful manner.
The official inauguration ceremony — Esparanza 2023 — was held at NIBM School of Business on 9th December 2023 with the presence of our esteemed guests, School of Business faculty, Program Office staff and new students.
The Director, School of Business, Mr Kolitha Ranawaka graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Mr Manuja Kariyapperuma, The Director General of BMICH attended as the Distinguished Guest of the event. The event has also made a significant remark by inviting several leading local event industry professionals: These special invitees included: Mr Prabuddha Seneviratne, Head of Banquet Sales, The Kingsbury Hotel and Ms Barbara Fischer, Adviser Admin and Finance GIZ Colombo.
The inauguration ceremony consisted with two segments, where the official launch of the program and the event management pathway reveal and then an exciting networking session with the special invitees and faculty. With our new Advanced Diploma students can now begin their Event Management academic pathway starting from Advanced Certificate in Event Management lead up to Advanced Diploma level.
The event Esparanza was organized by Advanced Certificate in Event Management (ACEM) 23.1 PT batch as their final project in their ACEM program. The event was a success all thanks to the guidance and constant support by The Director, School of Business and Marketing Academic Unit. Team Esparanza made a noteworthy effort to make the event successful and a memorable one to the attendees.
