Putting the youth in the driving seat of change is one of the major roles of NIBM to drive the new generation and enable them to build the future world of work. NIBM During the year 2020 is eager on investing in the confidence and capacities of creative and energetic youth in their formative years. It is important to enable the youth to build and lead a solution to a social challenge in their community. Hence, national level project to empower Generation Z in Schools to drive future of world of work, has been designed.
The youth who falls into the Generation Z plays a social role by creating and interpreting trends. The Generation Z has become a potent influence on people of all ages and incomes, as well as on the way people consumes and relate to brands.
Generation Z members adapt to their work environment easily and are not afraid of transformations and transi- tions. They just need an environment in which they can express their potential and succeed in bringing innovation. Therefore, investing in new technologies, developing coaching programmes, promoting a better work-life balance and communication and paying attention to social responsibility are few components NIBM is planning to inculcate in introducing this programme to Sri Lanka.
