Cisco Networking Academy a global education initiative from Cisco Systems offers programmes in networking such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) course. Certifications such as CCNA and CCNP are highly sought after by network engineers throughout the world as a way of enhancing their carrier in the IT field. The School of Computing of NIBM has been officially recognized as a Cisco Network Academy since 2016.

Red Hat® Academy turns academic institutions into centers for enterprise-ready talent by outfitting them with Red Hat Training and Certification. Through the Red Hat Academy program, more than 20,000 students per year gain access to the value of training and the benefits of certification through hands-on instruction, curriculum, labs, performance-based testing, and instructor support. The Red Hat Academy curriculum is offered across Red Hat’s most in-demand platform, middleware, and cloud technologies. Select courses and exams are available in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. The School of Computing of NIBM has been officially recognized as a Red Hat Academy since 2017. 

NIBM signed a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Certified Management Accounts of Sri Lanka to provide CMA accreditation to the courses offered by NIBM which would facilitate both NIBM and CMA students to obtain exemptions. NIBM will grant exemptions to the students and members of CMA to obtain academic qualifications at NIBM and also the NIBM students will get exemptions for the CMA examinations. Further, NIBM and CMA is hoping conduct joint programmes for its members & students on contemporary areas of Financial and Management Accounting. CMA will also grant scholarships for skilled & financially needy students of NIBM at the discretion of the Governing Council of CMA and on recommendation by the management of NIBM.
